The first part of the book is a story told by Quickly the spatula. He explains how he got his name, and then he goes on to meet another spatula named Bernie. They start out on an adventure together. They share stories about pancakes from different areas of the world, and even end up at the 1st Annual International Spatula Camp. While Quickly and Ernie are learning at camp they teach us about what they are learning including some great pancake tips.
The second half of the book is a load of different pancake recipes from actual Chefs from all over the world. This book has some really great recipes in it from traditional ones, to dessert ones(chocolate chip pancakes), to ones that you would have never thought of (banana butterscotch pancakes). There are also some recipes for potato pancakes, crepes, and even a Japanese style pancake made with cabbage!! I am pretty sure this one is served without syrup!!!
