New Chicken Littles From KFC-Review and Giveaway

 KFC has launched a new and improved Chicken Littles, which are now back on the menu and available for the little price of $1.29. They haven't sold Chicken Littles in more than 20 years, but their passionate fans have spoken and KFC is listening. They’ve called KFC headquarters, started petitions and built Facebook pages dedicated to reviving the snack-sized sandwich.  A recent poll on the KFC Facebook page revealed that Chicken Littles was the overwhelming favorite among items they’d like back on the menu!

Chicken Littles feature a freshly-breaded Extra Crispy Strip^TM sandwiched in a sweet bun topped with pickle slices and KFC’s signature Colonel’s Mayo. The soft, sweet bun complements the savory 100 percent all-white breast meat chicken.

I took my crazy family to KFC to try out these new Chicken Littles.  After all, my middle son's favorite food is chicken!  I was checking out the order board because I didn't know exactly how these sandwiches came.  While she was explaining to me about this extra crispy version, she said that they could also offer the shredded honey barbecue chicken on the "little" bun.  Now my kids listened to all this, and then I asked them what they wanted.  My oldest wanted the barbecue, my middle son wanted the crispy, but no way was he eating it with that sauce and pickle juice, my youngest wanted nothing, and I wanted to try the extra crispy version exactly the way it came!!!

So the taste testing began.  The oldest loved his barbecue sandwich.  My chicken loving middle child said it was the best chicken sandwich he had ever eaten!  I tried out my sandwich and while it was good, I thought I should pour some honey mustard sauce on it.  After all, the chicken part of the sandwich reminded me of a chicken strip, so I  just couldln't eat it without a dipping sauce!  I had ordered an original for my youngest even though he wanted "nothing!!  Even though he said that he eventually picked it up and had a few bites.  Are you wondering who ate this leftover sandwich?  Well I offered it to my chicken lover, who really wanted it, but couldn't do it because of the pickle juice.  Thank you again KFC for allowing special orders so he was able to enjoy his first sandwich!!  My oldest son ended up eating this sandwich, pickles and all.  He also decided to dip his whole sandwich in honey mustard!  We are kind of weird, I know!  

After trying both sandwiches, we enjoyed both.  I can't say I enjoyed one more than the other, but I will say that I love KFC chicken anyways so the sandwich was a familiar taste.  I had never tried their barbecue before and I thought it was an excellent way to try it out since the sandwiches are only $1.29!

The size of the sandwiches are perfect for little hands.  My little ones were able to eat both varieties without dropping any of the contents on the floor!  Always a plus!  I would say that an average adult would probably buy the value meal for $5.00.  It comes with two sandwiches, fries, and a drink.  My little ones couldn't eat all of that normally, so I would probably just run through the drive-thru and get a value meal for my oldest and middle to share!!!
