I wanted to mention that the instructions are very easy to follow.  I did enlist the help of my husband, but he is no expert either!  The internet connection is a breeze too.  Really just plugging into the wall and plugging into the modem.  If you don't have a smartphone you can still use this.  You can control it manually in your home, or you can control it on the internet when you are away from home.  If you hang out with someone a lot that has a smartphone, you can use their phone to control it. 

One of my favorite details of this device is that it will notify you when you need to change the filter.  I sometimes try to make my filter last longer than it should.  That is not efficient for our energy costs or the furnace, so I love that it tells me exactly when to replace it!!!
