My boys absolutely loves Dinosaur Train. Even the oldest at nine will sit and watch it with his younger brothers. The new DVD that is being released today, October 8th is all about family, so its great that I have a show that my whole family can sit and watch without wrestling and fighting. They are all three boys, what do you expect?
The holiday season is the perfect time of year to reinforce the
importance of family. In the new DVD “Dinosaur Train: We are a
Dinosaur Family,” eight adventures feature prehistoric family fun
at its best – the Pteranodon kids visit with their grandma and
grandpa; Buddy, Tiny and Mr. Pteranodon join a few other dinos
for a dad’s day out; and Buddy and the Pteranodon kids look for
flowers to give to mom on her special Mother’s Day.

Episodes:
Meet the Grandparents:
The Pteranodon kids have a visit from Grandma and
Grandpa The kids realize that there are certain traits that are just like their Grandma and Grandpa. My kids loved seeing the Grandma and Grandpa visit. They were very excited that the Pteranodons got to have a great time with them.
Camp Out: Off to the Big Pond for the Pteranodon's first overnight camp-out. They meet a frog here. My kids have never been on an overnight camp out, although we have a tent. After seeing this episode, I have a feeling that I might be setting it up this weekend....
The Burrowers:
The Pteranodon family hops onthe Dinosaur Train to meet a family of
burrowing dinosaurs that live in holes and put on an acrobatic shows! I think that this was our favorite episode on the disc because we had never really thought about dinosaurs digging holes before. However, I have a huge hole in my backyard that was dug by my own little "dinosaurs."
Flowers for Mom: The kids go to the Big Pond to look for flowers for Mother's Day. This reminds me of my boys. One day out on the bike trail my little boy was behind. When we rode back to him he had a fistful of flowers that he had stopped to pick for me!
Dad's Day Out:
Buddy, Tiny, and Mr. Pteranodon join Annie Tyrannosaurus and Leroy
Lambeosaurus and their dads for a Dads' Day at the Big Pond. Sometimes the kids need a Dad's day out. As a mom, I couldn't agree more.
To Grandparents Nest We Go:
Buddy, Tiny, Shiny, and Don head off to have fun and spend time with their Grandma and Grandpa at their cliffside nest. The kids get to check out some of the things that were their Dad's and of course do some fishing. I think my husband would have loved to be on that little trip!
Tank Sleepover: Tank comes to spend the night, but the last thing he wants to do is sleep. If you have ever had a sleepover or remember going on one, then you know dinosaurs and little kids are much alike in this way.
Date Night: Mrs. PteranodonMr. Pteranodon go on
a special anniversary date. This is the kids first time with the babysitter. Lucky Mrs. and Mrs. I say. They actually found a babysitter to watch all three kids!!!
