My seven year old read Bad Kitty to me this morning before school.  He needed one more book for his book it form and he picked out this one.  I had to help him with some words because it was just a bit above his reading level, but it wasn't too hard for him because he kept reading!!!  His brothers sat and looked at the pictures while he read.  They laughed and laughed at what this cat got himself into.  I have to share with you one think that my oldest son was concerned with when Bad Kitty was trying to make amends.  See, Bad Kitty was doing the homework and when he put his answers down they were just paw prints.  My oldest son told me that Bad Kitty didn't do the homework right and Bad Kitty should know that

4 + 4=8!!  I thought that was cute of him  to take notice of that.  

Later in the day, I put the CD in so my littlest could hear Vanessa Williams read the story while we followed along.  As we turned the pages I pointed out the letters in the alphabet.  This was great for my three year old as we are just starting to identify letters.

Our whole family enjoyed Bad Kitty, and I noticed that the author, Nick Bruel, has written a whole series on Bad Kitty.  I am going to go to the library and see if I can get a couple of those.  After all, we do have to find out what goes on after that new puppy gets there..................
