Blackbear the Pirate – Adventure #1 is the first in a new series
of adventure stories for young readers. Each story is masterfully
written and presented as a fully illustrated picture book. Come along
and join Blackbear the Pirate as he sails about upon the high seas in
search of fun and excitement in his great pirate ship, the Annie. You
will meet his all bear pirate crew, including Calico, Izzy Paws,
Le-Kidd, Barty and Bonnie. In this first swashbuckling tale, Blackbear
goes in search of the cave of the great Pirate King, Bearfoot, who lives
on the mysterious island of Bearataria. It’s non stop pirate adventure
for the buccaneer in all of us! Beautifully illustrated hard cover story
books, with original art work by Ruth Palmer.
This is such a cute book full of pirate animals. Actually the crew is mostly bears. There is a black bear, a few brown bears and a polar bear. We really liked the little fox named Le-Kidd. There is also Pauly the Parrot who repeats about everything he hears. The whole crew is sailing on an adventure to an island called Bearataria. The animals have different opinions about going to that island. The crew works together throughout the book. We really liked reading about the animals, and were glad we had the second book waiting for us to read. This first book in the series is available here.
Join Blackbear the Pirate and his faithful crew as they set sail in
search of Blackbear's old friend, Captain Ben. The crew of the Annie
have been told that Capatin Ben appears to be lost at sea, but Blackbear
the Pirate never gives up hope as he races to find him.
This is the second book in the series and we join the pirate animals again for another great adventure. We have our original characters, and we are introduced to a few more new friends that live in the water. Again, in this book, the animals all work together in their great adventure to find Captain Ben. Find out if they find Captain Ben. You can buy this book directly from their website.
Thank you to Smith Publicity for my samples used in this review. My opinions are my own and honest.
