Our box was the Feathered Friends box. We got to make two puppets, a birdhouse and a eyescope. I had my six year old cut out the template pieces for the puppets, then I made the actual felt pieces for them. The felt pieces had sticky backs to peel off. I just peeled back a little corner for them, and they did all the rest! My four year old also decided to draw all over his.
While we were doing that, my eight year old was busy assembling the bird house. He was having a great time assembling and reassembling it. He then decided to go outside and play and leave the painting to the younger two. Of course, they had a few tries at assembling it as well. They didn't do too bad, but I had to help them to get it finished. The first kid painted yellow, and the second green. They couldn't wait to get it outside.
After the birdhouse, we made the eye scope. All three crafts were easy to do, but I had to help a little more with the eye scope. We were supposed to paint the roll, but we used all the paint on the birdhouse, so they just colored it green with a crayon!! After it was made, it was pretty cool, because it sort of "adusted" like a real scope.
Overall, we had a great time. All three boys got to work together at the kitchen table, and I got a few dishes done while watching them have fun!!!
Thank you to green kid crafts for my samples used in this review. My opinions are my own and honest.
