Keen's All Weather Back to School Shoes

Since we are in the beginning of September, most of the kids are already in school, or are heading back. The days of sandals are almost gone. We now look forward to those wet days and snowy days that are approaching. My children and I walk to school a lot, and even when it is not raining, we still have sidewalks under water, and children going through puddles!! I don't want to put the typical rain boots on them when it is not raining, but I don't want wet socks either. In this case, I need a great all weather shoe, preferable a fashionable one that they can wear all day at school.

This is the pair that my 1st grader is wearing. They have several color combinations. His are slate black/rust. I love them. They are not too heavy, which ask anybody, he is the slowest walker, so we don't need anything slowing us down. It is so nice to have a pair of shoes to let him run through the puddles, and the we grass, and not have to take off the shoes and peel off nasty wet socks!!! It is also wonderful not to have to keep telling him to stay clear of all the things that can get his feet wet!!! That makes for a more enjoyable walk. I am really impressed at how dry these keep his feet, and how great the shoes look afterward. Sure, a little dirty, but not bad. I am however going to buy a leather conditioner like they recommend. I want to keep these looking their best, especially since maybe his little brother might get to wear them!!!
