This fall, it’s all about the chicken. In anticipation of the launch of the brand-new The Chica Show debuting on SPROUT later this year, the 24-hour preschool network has produced a video positioning Chica as the winner of “The Squeak” – a parody of the popular NBC show, The Voice. In addition to Chica, the video features the stars of SPROUT’s popular The Sunny Side Up Show - Sean, Kelly, Dennisha and Carly. Chica is the breakout star of The Sunny Side Up Show, whose popularity with kids 2-6 has led to her own show as well as a line of consumer products.
Instead
of top music talent, “The Squeak,” is looking for contestants with the
“best squeak.” No matter how hard they try, the contestants can’t seem
to get the panel of kid judges to turn their chairs around. That is,
until Chica enters the stage, performs her signature “squeak” to win the
contest. The kid judges – Aidan, Gee Lo, Miss Tina, and Drake - share an uncanny resemblance to their celebrity counterparts – faux white cat included.
